Improvement to Basic Hand Tools Yield High Bottom-Line Returns The military tests found “Task duration was dropped between 25% and 50%“ which equates to increasing output by 33% to 100%. The TÜV tests confirmed the military productivity results, while also noting significant improvements in worker health and safety. TÜV noted “User tests confirmed… they (Link Tools) significantly reduced strain, stiffness and pain.” As the tools allow users to work from comfortable positions without undue stress on their musculoskeletal systems, this translates into reduced medical expense, increased productivity and earning power, and prolonged work life for skilled workers. “These tests establish that a design innovation even in very basic tools can have an enormous financial impact. One $200 or $300 set of LINK Tools can easily yield thousands of dollars in annual returns.” John Davidson, President Link Tools. The Link Tool System features a case-hardened steel pin that replaces the traditional ball bearing which releases under pressure. The ball bearing design has been in use for over 100 years. Link’s patented locking design grips tighter as torque is increased. Every connection locks solid from the users hand to the work and functions as a one-piece tool. The tools work with all standard detent sockets. Over half the nuclear generating facilities in North America are now using Link Tools. According to Davidson: “In addition to the strategic safety benefits of use in nuclear facilities, the tools can also provide strategic benefit in combat applications, The ability to reduce maintenance time in an aircraft or vehicle by over 30% means it can return to critical operations much quicker." The extended military tests reported the use of Link Tools reduced dropped sockets and tool disconnects to zero while increasing overall safety by 40%. The prevention of disconnects also accounted for the adoption of Link Tools for retrofitting missiles in the U.S. Navy’s nuclear submarine fleet. Link Tools are available in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 3/4" drive sizes. Link offers professional upgrade sets and individual drive tools. A variety of sets with sockets and other accessories are also available. For additional information or brochure, call 1-888-727-5465. |
